There are so many days you can decorate the wall for the holiday season. That was over 10 years ago, and I still hang those plates every christmas.Christmas wall decoration possibilities are truly endless. ![]() I actually used it to attach picture hangers to christmas plates that I wanted to hang. I’ve used E6000 in the past and it works just fine. I totally forgot to add the wall hanging hardware to the back until I was finished with the project, so I used E6000 to attach it instead of trying to nail it in place. Next, I glued everything in place and let it dry overnight. Then I twisted the wire a couple of times on the back of the leather and snipped of the excess, stretching the ends apart to secure the bell to the leather. Poking one end into the leather and pulling down until the hole was large enough to get the wire I attached to the bells through the hole. Once I got a hole started I then needed something with a larger diameter to increase the hole size. Using the point of my compass, I poked a hole into the leather. I then cut about a 4 inch length of wire for each of my three bells. Next I cut a strip of leather to attach my bells to. My greenery was too long, it took up the entire length of the wood, so I cut it into pieces. Then I laid the gold ring, greenery and bow on top of the wood slice just to get a feel for the placement of everything. A larger, thinner wood slice from Michael’s, one artificial greenery stem, gold bells, a square of leather, a gold ring, ribbon, wire, E6000 glue, a picture hanger, jewelry pliers, something to poke a hole in your leather I used the pointy end of a compass. After lots of pondering, I decided to make a wood slice Christmas wall hanging. Making something from a wood slice….sounds easy, right? Well, it wasn’t as easy as you might think, at least not for me. This month, our challenge item is a wood slice! Last month we all used a faux pumpkin from Michael’s.
